How did you and your husband meet?
While working at a event.
How did he propose?
It was a a huge surprise, I thought I was going to a catering event for 200 guests in Dural for Bernadette & Sarkis Nassif– I arrived and George from Seedflora needed help to open the Truck – and there John was standing with a Cut Figure of my dad next to time. He proposed and we had a nice moment with our friends Bernadette and Sarkis at their home. I was confused as the night before I was preparing the food for this catering event, I asked them – if there is no catering event – where will the food go? They said the nursing home.
On our way home , we went past the cemetery to see our fathers- as we arrived home – I was welcome by family and friends for a surprise engagement party.
What was your vision for your wedding day?
I originally was supposed to get married in Lebanon, so I wanted it to be similar- elegant, detailed, fun, carefree , an overall party.
Where did you look for your wedding inspiration?
Everywhere to be honest, we have been in the events industry for over 35 years we wanted to do things differently and I engaged the right team that would enhance this for us.
What drew you to choose ImageHaus for your photography & Videography?
I am a very detailed person and your team I knew could share this with me on the day. they were capable to capture moments ‘uniquely’ not the typical way.
What was your wedding planning journey like for you? How far out did you start planning?
We didn’t start too much in advance-COVID made it really hard. So we really had 1 official meeting with the team , formed a WhatsApp group , and everyone gave their input.
What was the highlight of your wedding day for you?
2 moments- feeling the love at home amongst my family and friends and my 3 brothers walking me down the aisle.
Is there anything you would do differently?
I don’t think so- the day was perfect in every way, I really embraced each moment of it.
Is there any advice you would give other ImageHaus brides?
Be in the moment –when you stop for a second you get goosebumps – its truly a magical feeling.
Explain the process of how your wedding dress was made:
It was very different to the ordinary bridal process- I engaged ASHI Studio via Video Call – I was intended to fly to Beirut to meet and get a fitting however this became impossible. He was reluctant to pursue with making my wedding dress as he said to me: I HAVE NEVER MADE A WEDDING DRESS AND NOT TOUCHED THE BRIDES BODY AND MEASURED HER….i then got measured by Nicky Velani and I sent him my measurements. 3 weeks later he sent me the under garment via DHL and the process started by Video Calls on a fortnightly basis. I would also message him my inspiration. He knew what I wanted and I truly trusted him. 7 days before the wedding I received the wedding dress in white coffin box via DHL. And the rest Is history.
When you think about weddings in general, What do they mean to you:
To me, the wedding was about – Family – Love – Capturing Moments.
