How did you and your husband meet?
We have been friends for some time prior to being together but we met through mutual friends. We started talking at a friend's birthday drinks in Bondi however Trent was in the military and was getting deployed for 4-5 months so we said if it's meant to be, it will. We spoke everyday for those months and never left each other's side when he came home.
How did he propose?
Trent proposed in Bali. Funny story, He told me we were going out for dinner and I told him I didn't want to go and to reschedule it to the next day as I was super sunburnt and just wasn't feeling up to it. As I was saying that, Trent was looking over our balcony watching the staff set up the proposal for sunset (you could only imagine how he was feeling haha). He ended up telling me we could not change the booking and it was the biggest but most perfect surprise - a private dinner on a clifftop at sunset in Bali.
What was your vision for your wedding day?
My vision was to work with the theme of my venues, whites and neutrals. I didn't have anything particular until maybe 1-2
months out. I would send any of my inspo pictures to my Stylist Sheree and my trust was in her. I knew she would bring it all to life on the day.
Where did you look for your wedding inspiration?
My Inspiration came from my venues. Both Swifts & MCA had similar looks (grand and historical) so I wanted the wedding theme to flow from the ceremony to the reception. The similarities of them both made this easy as the styling suit both venues easily.
What drew you to choose Imagehaus for your photography & Videography?
This was definitely the easiest decision that I had to make in the entire wedding planning. What I love about ImageHaus is their natural style and capturing all the special moments in a magical way, showing all the emotions through their images. As soon as we met with Henryk we knew we needed to have Imagehaus for both photo & video. On the day it was such a fun vibe having the one team and they all worked great together. Our photos and video exceeded our expectations.
What was your wedding planning journey like for you? How far out did you start planning?
I was quite late to the party and didn't start planning until probably 10 months after our engagement. You go through phases of wanting to plan then not to. Once Covid hit and forced us to postpone our original date, which caused a bit of stress but I just made sure I gave myself daily/monthly checklists. I didn't have a wedding planner as I wanted to plan it all myself but did have on-the-day coordination which I would highly recommend for any bride.
What was the highlight of your wedding day for you?
It is SO hard to pick one particular thing. The entire day was an absolute dream and everything we ever wanted. Just being able to celebrate our love with our friends and family was so special.
Is there anything you would do differently?
Not at all - Everything was perfect.
Is there any advice you would give other ImageHaus brides?
Do not sweat the small stuff during the planning process. The day will be perfect regardless. Take time with your husband to really reflect and absorb together as it is all over so fast.
