FAQs

How do you describe your style?

We take pictures in a way that is natural and real with a polished, editorial, soulful approach. We focus on delivering a heightened memory of your day that has a strong sense of 'cool'. Your images will look real & natural but they will have an elegance to them. We want your wedding photographs to feel like you, to be reminiscent of the couple you are, and we want them to tell your story which results in memories that last not only a day but for generations to come. We have an editorial team of mostly fashion photographers, and that's how our images always have a sense of smoothness & elegance and crispness within every detail.

Do you offer videography?

Yes we do, please see the 'motion' section of our website. We find it best for couples to work closely with us so we can deliver a unified aesthetic for both photo & video. Our team can then make the most of our time with you on your wedding day, as we have found we can save time by working synergistically. So we can effectively prioritise both your photography & videography and deliver a consistent aesthetic & style.

How far in advance should we consider booking you?

Normally it's best to check dates with us as soon as you have confirmed your wedding venue, as we normally get booked 12-24 months in advance. Our demand to document weddings is increasing but so is our team, so it's always best to check potential dates and we can share available photographers we have for your day.

What is your approach on the day?

We are very relaxed photographers. We strive to ensure that you have a memorable day celebrating with your loved ones. Ultimately we’d like you to forget that we are even there. For the vast majority of your day we will capture images in a completely candid and natural manner. During the day we may direct you towards the best light & locations but then allow you to have moment together while we capture it. We do very minimal posing but offer hints along the way!

Why do you shoot with two photographers, what are the advantages?

Over the past 6 years we have honed an approach to wedding photography that we think works best so you get the most out of our service. There are so many advantages of shooting with two photographers- We can capture the bride & groom prep at the same time (no faking or rushing), the detail of the ceremony set up gets the time it deserves, we can nail all the angles at the ceremony, the canape hour gets captured, we have the right time to shoot reception details, and the couple/bridal shoot gets captured properly and quickly. However, more importantly it adds to our style, we shoot two different camera set-ups for the day delivering 2 unique captures of some of the most important moments of your day, and sometimes the 2nd shooter can get the shot of the day, too!

We’re not comfortable in front of the camera..

We always strive to make you feel as comfortable as possible and make the process feel as natural as possible- if you read the notes section of our website you can see how we have made past couple feel comfortable and relaxed in front of our cameras. We ask you to focus on each other, and how much you love one another, and we then capture those moments.

How do you deliver our images?

We will initially send you a few highlight images after your wedding so you have something to share with your loved ones. Your images are then sent in high & low resolution, posted to you on a USB.

How long until we receive our wedding photographs?

We allow 2-5 months after your wedding to complete this process. However, this will vary depending on the amount of weddings we are shooting in the same period of time.

Where are your art books made?

Our art books are hand made in Sydney, by a dedicated team of book makers.

How do I secure my date?

When you confirm that you would like to book us as your wedding photographer, we will send you a contract as well as a booking fee. Your date will be secure with us once we have received both the signed contract and the booking fee.

Will you tentatively hold a date for us?

Due to the very high number of enquiries we receive it is just not possible to place tentative holds on dates. We can only secure your day with a booking confirmation.

Is the booking fee refundable or transferable?

If you have to cancel your wedding, your booking fee is not refundable or transferable.

Will we receive a preview after the wedding?

Yes! We prefer you to have a few key images you can share within a week of your wedding, so you have something to share on socials, that isn’t shot on auntie Jane’s Iphone 🙂 So we aim to deliver a few key images 1-2 weeks post-wedding.

Do you retouch our photographs?

Yes we do, retouching includes colour correction, cropping and aligning. We then select & retouch 100-200 images including the removal of any minor blemishes, however within our style we do keep it to a heightened memory of your day, where we do heighten the images visually, but we always strive to make your wedding photographs feel like you, without a retouched look.

Do you take formal family photos?

We certainly do! This typically happens after the ceremony and we do ask that you find a family member that knows both sides of the family to help us orchestrate this! If you organise a list for a family member to round up we find works best.

Should I make a list of specific images I want captured on my day?

Our style is candid and documentary in approach, but if there are very specific things you want captured- a list on could be helpful.

Do you travel interstate or internationally?

We love travelling and regularly travel interstate and internationally to capture weddings.

Will my wedding photographs be watermarked?

Your images will not be watermarked.

A few things that can help us on your day...

It's important that we have a seat inside the wedding reception room so we won't miss any impromptu moments, & it's great if you could send us a list of your suppliers- so we can share the moments with them by including them in any future wedding posts we do.
